Humane-2024-Thriller

Humane (2024) is a Canadian horror/thriller set in a future where a global climate change has ravaged the planet, forcing humanity into drastic measures to reduce the earth’s population. The film unfolds in a small American town where the residents grapple with moral dilemmas and survival instincts amid scarce resources.

The narrative revolves around four siblings, who are morally caught between preserving humanity, succumbing to primal instincts and money. The film’s strength lies in its portrayal of population control, complex human emotions and the ethical quandaries that arise in extreme conditions.

This movie has too many political views and references. The purpose of watching a movie is to escape from what is going on the world, please leave the politics out. For a thriller I felt it missed the mark. The plot was subpar, the acting was okay. This was more of a snooze fest than a horror/thriller movie.

Humane will challenging viewers to reflect on their own values and the potential consequences of climate change. While some plot points may seem extreme, the film’s exploration of humanity’s ethical and moral compass in the face of catastrophe is impactful. Sorry but not really a scary movie. This movie is available on Amazon Prime Video.
