The Union-2024 Movie only on Netflix

The Union is a 2024 Netflix action-thriller movie starring Mark Wahlberg and Halle Berry. The film follows Mike McKenna(Wahlberg), a construction worker from New Jersey, who is unexpectedly drawn into the world of spies when his high school sweetheart, Roxanne Hall (Berry),unwillingly recruits him for a high-stakes intelligence mission. Let’s think about this for a second, average joe gets into some heavy government stuff-sounds like Bad Company(2002), Wanted(2008), Collateral(2004) and North By Northwest(1959-classic Hitchcock).

The movie takes place in various locations, including New Jersey, London and Italy. To be honest this movie felt like an updated remake of Wanted with Berry and Wahlberg taking over the Jolie and McAvoy roles-especially the training scenes.

Despite the star-studded cast, The Union relies heavily on familiarity and lacks depth in its character development. While the action sequences are ok, the movie’s attempt at combining action and comedy(they were trying too hard in regards to comical moments-felt forced) was really bad.
