We went to the annual San Gennaro Festival in NYC and had an amazing time! Shout out to Ferrara’s, you have the best NAPOLEAN hands down!

Just in case you may not know what the San Gennaro festival is…
“The Feast of All Feasts”
During the early 1900s, a wave of Italian immigrants flooded into the bustling streets of Manhattan’s lower east side, each group staking claim to a different street. But it was Mulberry St. that became home to the vibrant Neapolitan community.
In 1926, they came together to honor their beloved patron saint and protector of Naples, San Gennaro, with a one-day block party filled with music, food, and festivities. Little did they know that this humble celebration would grow into an iconic 11-day feast known not just in New York, but throughout the world. For generations, this event has held great significance, embodying not only the saint himself but also the rich heritage, culture, and customs of the Italian people who came seeking a new life in America. The streets are alive with energy and color as families gather to celebrate their roots and pay homage to their shared traditions.
The Festival ends September 22, 2024 – For more information: https://sangennaronyc.org/
