Terrifier 3(2024)

Terrifier 3 continues Art the Clown’s reign of terror, gore and horror once again. The story takes place picking up from where Terrifier 2 ended and then a 5 year time jump with Christmas-themed twist, with Art donning a Santa costume and unleashing his violence on Christmas Eve. The movie kill scenes kept getting better, gory and creative with added dark humor from Art.

David Howard Thornton’s portrayal of Art remains terrifying and mesmerizing, as he delivers a chilling performance that combines childlike glee with sadistic cruelty. I must say David’s body language and facial expressions gives Art life and this time pairing him with his original final girl turned partner in crime Vicki was genius as she is the voice for Art.

The film also has more supernatural elements, continuing the story of Sienna, the final girl from Terrifier 2, now dealing with the psychological aftermath of her previous encounter with Art. I liked that they focused on how Sienna’s mental scars are affecting her and her family-I mean no one can recover from trauma like that.  I also liked more of the back story of Sienna and her dad played by The Lost Boys Jason Patric-he looked great.

Also there were great cameos in the movie from Clint Howard and horror icon Tom Savini. Director and writer Damien Leone stayed true to the Terrifier formula and raised the bar-creative kills with holiday carnage(reminded me of Silent Night, Deadly Night), wonderful make up effects and to be honest I thought nothing could top the hacksaw scene from Terrifier, but he did and wow. There will be a Terrifer 4 from what I saw it will be amazing. Terrifier 3 is currently playing in theaters:   https://terrifier3.com
