The Intrepid Museum will be the main venue for the 37th annual Fleet Week New York, happening from May 21 to May 26,2025 featuring events and activities to celebrate and honor the U.S. Armed Forces. Kicking off with the Parade of Ships on Wednesday, May 21, Fleet Week stands as America’s leading homage to the service men and women who serve our nation. The Intrepid Museum and Pier 86 (located at 46th Street and 12th Avenue, Manhattan) will host various activities and interactive exhibits. All outdoor events on Pier 86 are free for the public, while activities inside the Museum require paid entry.

Wednesday, May 21

11:00 am–1:00 pm: Parade of Ships

Navy and Coast Guard vessels sail up the Hudson, passing the Intrepid Museum.

12:30 pm–1:30 pm: Media Preview—Explore Intrepid: Engines & Boilers

A VR preview of the aircraft carrier’s engineering spaces. Opens to the public May 28; thereafter Tuesdays–Wednesdays, 11:00 am–3:00 pm in the Exploreum.

Friday, May 23

6:00 pm: Free Outdoor Movie Night—Top Gun

Doors open at 6:00 pm; film begins at sunset. First-come, first-served. Lawn chairs, blankets, picnic baskets, outside food and non-alcoholic drinks welcome; concessions on site. No re-entry.

Saturday, May 24 (10:00 am–6:00 pm)

• Free hands-on activities & interactive displays featuring U.S. Army, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Air Force, Naval STEM, Dept. of Corrections, Buildsubmarines.com, Sea Cadets, Aero Flight School, SailGP, Naval Sub League, NYC Ghostbusters, Warrior Bonfire, Military Transport Assoc. & more

• Live music by America’s Sweethearts and Operation Encore (veteran artists)

• Meet former Intrepid crew; Restoration Hangar tours; USAA-presented athletic challenges with military, FDNY & NYPD teams

11:00 am–3:30 pm: Harlem Globetrotters (TNT, CHEESE, JET)—trick shots, HORSE, shooting contests; cornhole tournaments with service-branch, FDNY & NYPD teams

Museum Hours: 10:00 am–6:00 pm

Sunday, May 25 (10:00 am–6:00 pm)

• Repeat of Saturday’s free activities, displays & performances, plus U.S. Army & Coast Guard Silent Drill Teams, The Satin Dollz

• 11:00 am: Tug-of-war competition

• 1:00 pm: Fleet Week Cornhole Tournament (Ward Boards & NY Cornhole) + casual cornhole all day

12:00 pm–5:30 pm: Broadway Showcase—casts of CHICAGO, Aladdin, Real Women Have Curves, Operation: Mincemeat, Titanique on Pier 86

1:00 pm: Book Talk—Montel Williams on The Sailing of the Intrepid, with co-author David Fisher; meet-and-greet/signing to follow. Free with admission; books for sale on site.

10:00 am: Memorial Day Ceremony—remarks, wreath laying, Navy flyover

11:00 am–3:00 pm: Aircraft Restoration Hangar tours (20-minute sessions on the hour)

11:00 am–4:00 pm: Meet Mike Fink—author/historian on Intrepid’s WWII fighter squadron (Hangar 2)

1:00 pm: U.S. Army Drill Team demonstration (Pier 86)

2:00 pm: U.S. Coast Guard Search & Rescue demo (end of Pier 86)
