Over the weekend, we attended 2025’s The Long Island Convention of Horror (LICH) aka LI Horror Con https://www.lihorrorcon.com/
We had the honor of meeting author, Anastasia Garcia, and the host of “It Came from the Radio”, Mark Torres.
ANASTASIA GARCIA
Anastasia Garcia, is a Mexican-American author specializing in horror and speculative fiction, began her writing career at 11 with a murder mystery screenplay. Her work appears in online publications, podcasts, and anthologies like Weird Horror and Shadow Atlas, alongside renowned horror writers. Her debut book, GHOSTLY, GHASTLY TALES, was released in July 2024, with CREEPY CAMPFIRE STORIES due on April 8, 2025. A Horror Writers Association member since 2022, she won the Ladies of Horror Fiction writer’s grant in 2020.

In her free time, Anastasia reads 50 books a year and is part of the Capitol Hill Speculative Fiction Writing Group. Originally from Texas and a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she draws inspiration from local myths and legends. She resides in New York City and works at Pinterest.

It Came From the RADIO is a syndicated radio show that airs live from the WGBB Studios (1240AM and simulcast on 95.9FM in New York) every Sunday at 6pm (EST).
