Okay, New York does not have a Disney or Universal, but we do have amusement parks (including a Six Flags). As of 2026, New York has 19 amusement parks which includes some water parks.

Unfortunately or fortunately, school starts soon, so enjoy a day at an amusement park before this summer ends. The following is a list of parks:

New York City:

Luna Park (Coney Island, Brooklyn) — Major park with the historic Cyclone wooden coaster, many thrill and family rides, games, and boardwalk access. For more information: https://lunaparknyc.com/

Westchester:

Hudson Valley:

Capital Region / Lake George / Adirondacks:

Great Escape (Queensbury, near Lake George; formerly Six Flags Great Escape) — Full theme park with roller coasters (including The Comet and The Bobcat), rides, and Hurricane Harbor water park.
